I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
