Major Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
